Chrysotype print

Chrysotype - (John Herschel)

A chrysotype print is an alternative photographic process that produces images using ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide solutions. These chemicals are mixed, applied to paper, and exposed to ultraviolet light. The exposed paper is then developed in a gold chloride solution. This process results in images with varying shades of brown, depending on exposure time and chemical proportions. Chrysotype prints are known for their distinctive brown tones and are often used to create artistic and vintage-style photographs.
