Cyanotype

Cyanotype - Cyanotype print

A cyanotype print is a photographic printing process that produces blue-tinted images. It involves coating paper or another surface with a mixture of ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide. When exposed to UV light, the coated surface turns blue where the light hits. After exposure, the paper is washed in water to remove the unexposed chemicals, revealing the white areas. The result is a cyan-blue image on a white background. Cyanotype prints are known for their distinctive blue color and are often used for creating artistic and alternative-style photographs.
