Verre églomisé, a decorative art technique involving the application of gold or silver leaf to the reverse side of a glass surface. In this technique, gold or silver leaf is placed on the backside of the glass, and then paint or patterns are added to the glass surface. The result is elegant and reflective decorative panels, mirrors, furniture, or other decorative items. Verre églomisé became popular in the 18th century and turned into a captivating decorative art used in luxurious interiors.
