-Luigi Carlo Filippo Russolo was an Italian painter, composer, and theorist, closely associated with the Futurist movement. He is best known for his "Art of Noises" manifesto, in which he advocated for the inclusion of noise as a legitimate component of music. Russolo believed that the industrial age had introduced new sounds to human experience, which should be embraced in artistic expression. He invented noise-generating devices called intonarumori to produce these new sounds. As a painter, Russolo's work also reflected the dynamism and energy of the modern age, with bold colors and abstract compositions. His contributions to both music and visual art were influential in shaping the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century.
